Recipe 19: Papaya Crunch Dump Cake
Papaya is a very nutritious fruit that has plenty of health benefits for kids and adults. Making this dessert is a great way to incorporate this fruit into your diet.
Yields:
Ingredients:
2 cups of papaya, slice it into smaller pieces
½ cup of sugar
½ cup of pistachios, already chopped
250g of butter, slice it into equal pieces
A pinch of cardamom
1 box of cake mix (mango flavor)
Steps:
Turn on the oven and set it to 350F.
Prepare a 9â x 13â baking dish and coat it with cooking spray.
Place the papaya at the bottom of the baking dish and spread it evenly. Sprinkle the cake mix over the fruit slices and make sure that it evenly and entirely covers the layer of fruit. Place the slices of butter at an even interval on top of the cake mix. In a bowl, combine the sugar, cardamom, and pistachios then sprinkle the mixture on top of the butter layer.
Place the baking dish into the oven and bake for 60 minutes or until the cake is bubbly and the top crust is light brown in color.
Let the cake cool slightly before serving.
